Instructions
Chop the bacon into small pieces, then cook in a medium frying pan until crispy. Remove from the pan with a slotted spoon and place in a large bowl. (Skip this step if you want to keep it vegetarian)
Cut the broccoli florets off the stem and separate into small pieces. Peel the woody part off the stem and then chop into 1/2 inch pieces. Place all the broccoli in the large bowl with the bacon.
Cut the onion in half and then peel and thinly slice. Transfer to the bowl.
Add the raisins and seeds to the bowl.
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise with the balsamic vinegar, then add to the salad and stir until combined.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
