This meal plan was curated using local foods that are in season now or preserved during the peak growing season in the U.S. Midwest. The plan is an exact replica of what our family is eating this week unless we are out of town. Meal plans are developed using whole foods and my meal planning system (click here!) and are meant to be healthy and easy to prepare. Most recipes will take no more than 30 minutes of active cooking time. Occasionally meals may require all day slow cooking, advanced prep, or some oven time. Recipes are provided when available. I sincerely hope this will help with your own meal planning!

Notes: Chili Cook-off Results
We wrapped up our winter chili cook-off a couple weeks ago and I want to share the results of the votes. For 5 weeks we ate a different type of chili each week and then at the end, everyone voted on their favorites. This is a very small sample size (just our family of 5 haha!) but there are a mix of tastes and preferences. It was a really close choice between 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place, basically a tie. First and fifth place were much more clear.
Here are the results
5. Vegan butternut squash chili
3. Taco chili
I think I’ll work more on finding a good vegan chili recipe. The one I used just didn’t have a good depth of flavor to make up for the missing fat from the meat. Did you try any of these recipes? What was your favorite?
