This meal plan was curated using local foods that are in season now or preserved during the peak growing season in the U.S. Midwest. The plan is an exact replica of what our family is eating this week unless we are out of town. Meal plans are developed using whole foods and my meal planning system (click here!) and are meant to be healthy and easy to prepare. Most recipes will take no more than 30 minutes of active cooking time. Occasionally meals may require all day slow cooking, advanced prep, or some oven time. Recipes are provided when available. I sincerely hope this will help with your own meal planning!

Notes: Halloween Meals
Want another strategy to get your kids to eat their dinner? Make it a theme. Regular broccoli? Not so cool. But turn them into trees in a dark forest with carrot knights in shining armor and little Timmy will gobble them right up.
Halloween is the perfect opportunity to use this strategy. I’m making stone soup from the legendary tale. Pumpkin shaped pizza and pumpkin pancakes. And my personal favorite “Ghoul”ash, which I’ll make ahead of time and keep warm in the Crock Pot for after trick or treating. Each meal tells a story that grabs my kids’ attention and increases the chances of a clean plate. Give a try for yourself and let me know how it goes!
