Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions or thinly sliced regular onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery or grated celeriac root
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 12 ounce cans unsalted tuna packed in water well drained
  • 4 tbsp Panko bread crumbs
  • 4 eggs beaten
  • 2 tbsp Tamari soy sauce low-sodium
  • 1/2 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp olive oil plus more for frying

Instructions
 

  • Add 1 tbsp olive oil to a large skillet over medium high heat until oil is shimmering.
  • Add onions, celeriac, and garlic and sauté until tender.
  • Combine sautéed vegetables, tuna, and remaining ingredients in a bowl; stir well. Cover and chill 15 minutes.
  • Shape into large patties.
  • Heat additional olive oil in skillet until hot. Add patties and cook 3 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
