Green Beans Almondine

An elegant, vegan side dish that is super quick to prepare.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound green beans
  • 1/4 cup Slivered Almonds
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Trim the green beans using a knife or kitchen shears to cut off the stems.
  • Steam the green beans in a steamer basket that fits in a saucepan or boil for about 4 minutes in salted water, until tender, but still slightly crisp.
  • Drain well and toss with olive oil and almonds. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
